In conjunction with the exhibition in the Atomium, the Brussels Photonics Team B-PHOT of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel will also organize “Photonics Innovator” workshops for young minds. At these occasions pupils from primary and secondary schools will be able to learn -through hands-on experiments- how to send messages to the other side of the world based on light technologies, what a laser does and how it works, and how to mix colors and generate white light.  They will also have the opportunity to build a boat powered by solar energy. The two-hour workshops are designed for audiences of up to 25 people.

Since the number of workshops is limited reservation is desirable. Workshops will only be in the Dutch language.
